The Lion of the Tribe of Judah

In that year, at that season

The Lion roared.

There were many lions.

Yet, this was a decree —

A warfare weapon…

That a Lion should dwell peacefully

amongst the sons of men,

It was a different thing

For a King to call, when called.

Yes, there are many slaves:

Slaves you might see gallantly on horses;

Princes you might see trekking on cucumber flip-flops.

It was a different summoning,

That a King should come when cried upon,

to deliver justice out of the hands of the wicked and to give rightfully.
